Rick Griffin

Originally the creator of Murph the Surf, before getting into the San Francisco poster scene, allegedly after seeing some of Mouse and Kelley’s work.

Rick Griffin was one of the ‘big five’ artists and produced work for both The Family Dog and Bill Graham.

Perhaps most famous for the Grateful Dead’s Aoxomoxoa, Rick's work was always very distinctive and elaborate.
