By definition, Hippies were Out-Laws—not supposed to ever get involved political. However....THE TELEIDOSCOPIC COLLAGE was the sometimes Denver Underground newspaper published by John Chick and other local True Believers in the repressive red-neck realm of the Rockies.

How on Earth did this survive?

Police and Media informed the public almost daily that the Diogenes lightshow was a sacrilege—a pro-drugs anti-religion abomination who's sole purpose was to seduce their children to take LSD.

That explains the questionable theme of "addiction" in this rare surviving memorabilia
"3.2 hippie hangouts" is a reference to the power of Coors Beer over all Entertainment
venues. Our counter-culture refusal to sell alcohol actually earned us a few bomb threats!

From some infantile inspiration, this mea culpa article was printed upside down.

In that issue's feature article, another writer justified our lightshow this way:
(note how even our own Hippie publication put all counter-culture buzzwords in "quotes", just like today's mainstream Media says: "it is alleged...")
