Yorktowne Power and Lights was started in 1969 by Tim Pace and ran until about 1974 with the help of Peter Winkler.
Yorktowne did lights for mostly psychedelic bands including Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Kinks, Iron Butterfly and
Quicksilver Messenger Service, to name just a few.

The lightshow was performed using overhead, film and slide projection, reflection using mirrors and metals, colorwheels, prisms and many other homemade effects.

From 1975 to 1977 Tim Pace operated the lightshow for RUSH.
