the long dark nights of Winter 2002 and tucked away in a secret corner
of England our staff have been working hard to bring you our debut
release, a BRAND NEW album featuring Sky Saxon from 60's Los Angeles
Garage legends The Seeds and Djin Aquarian
from blissed out 70's cult band Ya Ho Wa 13. This is a Limited Edition release and already advance orders have accounted for a considerable quantity of this highly collectible album, we are shipping them out every day so we would advise you ordering soon to avoid disappointment. | 'Happy
Now' is a CD by the Happy Hour band, which comprises Sky Sunlight
Saxon on lead vocals, Djin Aquarian on guitar and David Phillips (bass),
Alan Cooper (keyboards), Gary Cooper (guitar), David Wallace (drums)
and Gretchen Gerlitz (background vocals). This is the first official CD featuring Sky for many a long year and we hope you all enjoy it immensely. Djin gives his all on vocals and guitar too, so it's a must for the YaHoWans amongst you. It consists of rehearsal tapes carefully restored by yours truly and presented in a superb CD package. Running at over 55 minutes it contains the hypnotic vibes reminiscent of the Seeds, on track 1, various improvisations over the next 4 tracks and a hair-raising tour de force on the final jam, 'Happy Now In The Cradle Of Love/Freeway'. This sounds like a cross between the Velvet Underground and the Doors, with Sky on vocals and Djin playing for all he's worth. Magnificent! |
