5-MeO-TAR (Prague, Czech Republic)

Hi!
Here is Kashmir from Prague, Czech Republic.

Of course we would love be included in the worldwide Light Show Index,))

I started liquids with Alenka only a year ago after purchasing plates from Steve Pavlovsky, and Jerry and also enrolled to Mad Alchemy classes.

Whatever I learn I go my way. It was great to be introduced to proper technique for dynamic pattern plates but still with a clear vision to be used live in Light Show combined with our other stuff like laser cut wooden structures etc.

Analogue projection? That's exactly what we do.

As we are collective, some of us started to use overhead projectors (OHP) basically as scenic or stage lighting already in 1997.

We came together in 2014 formerly as a deco crew on Psytrance & Chillout events.

Since 2015 we lit facades of houses, tunnels, overpasses, underpasses, passages, tents, floors, walls, trees, lawns, rugged spaces...

We create various motifs, mostly conceptually with our own vision or thematically to commission.

Whether it origins on a computer of one of us or it's a painting on glass or a combined technique, it won't stop us for a moment to be fascinated by how analog lights can change any space beyond recognition!

If necessary, we can also make transparencies with event motifs, paint the glass according to the dispositions of the space and clear wishes.

The vividness of colors and the pleasant soft light of the lamps cannot be compared to any digital projector!

In today's world of LED lights and screens, we believe, it is relaxing for the human eye to enjoy projection based on natural light flux. Our light does not flicker and is not square, our light is a harmonic sinusoid ...

Comparison of LED square waves and halogen sinusoids - see picture:

They praise us where they would like to have video mapping, but they simply don't have a budget. We are more modest than videomapping.

However, if you are lucky enough to see our artist painting directly on the spot to suit the object as site specific installation appears, you see the art happening. Or the psychedelic liquid light (live) show (available on demand and only after rider check) we do with glass plates, liquids, oil dyes and watercolors!

Guys playing with transparencies to make moire optical effects accompanied by color wheels and kinetic sculptures. If you see that you will understand that the resolution we work with is infinite.

Analog projection proves itself wherever it is necessary to illuminate large spaces, whether outdoors or indoors, whether in an interesting way suitable for stopping and contemplation or simply so that it is not dark in those places and people do not stumble.

We are 4 permanent members and 1 enthusiastic supporter - a kind of analog division of Wizarts deco crew:

Founding member Jonas (DJ Jonah Moses - Mechy Sound) - technical multi-talent - McGyver level - who knows how to handle every situation and his wife Míša, who in addition, is very nice, paints beautifully and always has a kind word for us.

The other part of the team consists of Kashmir from Mimo-TV - he works not only as artist but also as a production and group manager (same as in WizArts) and his wife Alenka - the artist Muraelli.

Together, we are not intimidated by any challenge. Our wonderful friend Johnyslaw Spadznebe - a professional electrical engineer / inspector with a degree - helps us with motors for spinning motifs, revisions of devices and installations of various electronic gadgets. Some of them several decades old, and their operation is completely safe.

At present, our light park has approx. 20 machines of various intensities (250 -1000w bulbs) and age (the oldest meotar is over 30 years old and the youngest portable 3M came out of the production line last year).

We are open to cooperation on various projects from small to larger festivals (Fenix festival, Ufo Bufo, Beats for Love) through concerts, weddings, parties, celebrations, conferences (e.g Česká Spořitelna), meetings - simply where an interesting visual is needed at night and we are able to coop.

When there is no wall that can be projected on, and it doesn't make sense on the ground, we also do mixed media installations and project them on lycra (we own more than 200 m2) or on a ball made of umbrellas. :D
