We started by setting up chill-out spaces in different events, and the idea of incorporate psychedelic visuals immediately became obvious.

From there, we started to learn about liquid projections with old overhead projectors.

The first time I saw liquid light show was in psychedelic rock music videos from the 70s.
But clearly my main influence is the work of Steve Pavlovsky alias Liquid Light Lab.

For me, he is a reference in the world of modern light shows.

We mainly operate in the world of electronic music, so we haven't really had the opportunity to play with rock or acoustic bands.

But we have performed with prestigious chill-out music artists on some festival stages (Hadra Trance Festival, Son Libre Festival)

The FluOrganik Light Show comes from the association "FluOrganik Crew".

FluOrganik are a group of friends united around a common passion for psychedelic art in all its forms.

In music and visuals, we have an attraction for all kind of organic textures, natural flows, molecular forms.. Hence the name "FluOrganik" as an Organic Flow.

We started doing liquid light shows in 2016. But the association and the "FluOrganik Light Show" project only started in early 2019.

This is just the beginning! We hope to see this project grow and continue as long as possible.

A situation that many Light Show Artists must have known:

We had to do our show outdoors, during the summer, in an area infested by bugs. I let you imagine what the light of an overhead projector represents for an insect at night.

So we had to fight all night long with a huge variety of bugs and butterflys that inevitably fell into the cup with the oil. After many rescues and drownings, some insects ended up being an integral part of the show.

We started with old overhead projectors bought used. But their power quickly proved insufficient.

We therefore obtained more powerful models for a better rendering.

But then we abandoned the use of these devices for visual presenters (equipped with a camera to film the liquids), a video mixer and a video projector.

The digital set-up then developed, we now mainly use a 4k camera connected to a PC, with various Vjing software and several video projectors. We have an analog set-up and a digital set-up, which we can adapt according to the events/performances.

When we were working on the overhead projector, we tried everything we could think of! Household and food products, crockery of all kinds, pieces of glass, mirrors, pvc, UV inks and blacklight... There are so many experiments to do with light!

I remember an outdoor performance where we began to put blades of grass and sticks that we found at our feet into the cup, the result was awsome!

We started with two old overhead projectors bought used, we then recovered other overhead projectors from the recycling center and also bought some. So at one point we had 5 or 6!

Now they are rarely used, but we have acquired 2 SOLAR 250 projectors with 5 liquid wheels!

And we plan to have a whole collection of them.. These devices are fabulous!
